TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR COMPUTER SUPPORT AND REPAIR

1. Overview

The terms and conditions below (the “Agreement”) apply to the supply of services and goods provided by us. By accessing and using The Tech Team’s services, you agree to comply with these terms.

All references to:

  • ‘you’ mean the individual or business customer requesting the services and/or goods from us;
  • ‘we’, ‘our’, or ‘us’ mean The Tech Team (ABN 37 611 220 618);
  • ‘services’ mean the services we provide as described on our website, including on-site services and remote services;
  • ‘goods’ mean all products and other goods (including software) supplied by us to you; and
  • ‘website’ refers to [insert your website URL].

2. Service Rates

  • Business Support (On-site)
    The standard rate for on-site computer support for businesses is $175 per hour (excluding GST). A minimum charge of 1 hour applies for on-site services.
  • Business Support (Remote)
    The standard rate for remote support for businesses is $175 per hour (excluding GST). Charges are billed in 15-minute increments, with a minimum charge of $43.75 (excluding GST) for the first 15 minutes.
  • Residential Support (On-site)
    The standard rate for on-site computer support for residential customers is $150 per hour (excluding GST). A minimum charge of 1 hour applies for on-site services.
  • Residential Support (Remote)
    The standard rate for remote support for residential customers is $150 per hour (excluding GST). Charges are billed in 15-minute increments, with a minimum charge of $37.50 (excluding GST) for the first 15 minutes.

3. Billing and Payment

  • All charges are calculated based on the rates listed above and are exclusive of GST. GST will be added to the total amount where applicable.
  • Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed. Accepted payment methods include [insert accepted payment methods].
  • Additional costs, such as parts or materials required for repairs, will be communicated in advance and added to the final invoice.

4. Service Availability

  • Services are available during normal business hours, Monday to Friday, from [insert business hours].
  • After-hours or emergency support may be available at an additional cost and subject to availability.

5. Service Warranty

  • We provide a limited warranty for the services performed, covering only the specific repair or service provided. This warranty does not cover unrelated issues or future breakdowns. Details will be provided on a case-by-case basis.

6. Client Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for ensuring that your systems and equipment are accessible and functional at the time of service.
  • For remote support, you must ensure an active internet connection and provide the necessary permissions for remote access.
7. Cancellations and Rescheduling
  • A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Failure to provide sufficient notice may result in a cancellation fee equivalent to the minimum charge for the service booked.
8. Liability
  • While we take all reasonable steps to provide effective support and repair services, we are not liable for any loss, damage, or data loss that occurs during or as a result of the repair process unless caused by our negligence.
9. Governing Law
  • These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [insert jurisdiction]. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that jurisdiction.
10. Amendments
  • We reserve the right to modify or update these terms and conditions at any time. Updates will be posted on our website, and by continuing to use our services, you accept the revised terms.
